PHILADELPHIA – SEPTEMBER 29, 2015 – Customized Energy Solutions (CES) has entered into agreements with Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) to provide a detailed, two part energy storage study in order to obtain a broad view of energy storage technologies that will inform future policy and programs in the Commonwealth. CES will work in partnership with Strategen Consulting, the Electric Power Research Institute, Sustainable Energy Advantage, and La Capra Associates.

The first part of the study will analyze the industry landscape, economic development opportunities, immediate market opportunities, and potential industry-focused programs and demonstration projects for energy storage.

The second part of the study will examine policy opportunities for the Commonwealth to better support energy storage deployment opportunities and provide policy recommendations and cost-benefit analysis for DOER, the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, ISO New England and the state’s electric utilities. The first stakeholder meeting is scheduled for October 30, 2015.

“CES is honored to work with the MassCEC and DOER on this progressive, cutting edge study. We appreciate the forward thinking leadership shown by both organizations and we are extremely excited to have been selected for this innovative project,” said Jacqueline DeRosa, CES Director of Emerging Technologies – U.S.
