Aditi joined Customized Energy Solutions in January 2022 and is responsible for Business Development activities for IESA and IESA Academy, which include building skill-development ecosystem, brainstorming and executing IESA Academy initiatives, on-boarding experts, partners & members and promoting IESA Academy courses.

Prior to joining CES, Aditi has worked in the domain of energy through project estimation, project tracking, proposal writing and business development activities in the space of Bio-CNG projects.

Aditi is passionate about working in the energy domain. She has completed her B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication and MBA in Operations Management, both from Pune University. She is also a certified Energy Manager and aspires to provide substantial contribution towards greener, sustainable future.

Aditya joined CES in October of 2021 as a consultant for the Emerging Technologies team. He brings with him experience of working on projects related to policy advisory, techno-commercial analysis, strategy roadmaps, forecasting, capability development, and legal analysis. His technical skillsets include data analysis and visualization using PYTHON and RSTUDIO, EXCEL modelling, advanced automation using VBA and financial modelling.

Prior to joining CES, Aditya worked as a consultant for Ricardo Energy & Environment and as an engineer for Cummins India Technologies Ltd.

Aditya holds a post-graduation diploma, with a specialization in sustainable management, bestowed by the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM L) and a Bachelor of Technology degree (Mechanical Engineering) bestowed by the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT G).

Akankshya joined CES on June 15, 2022 as a Retail Operations Data Analyst, where her role handles Power BI dashboard building, developing, supporting, and billing analysing.

She has over 3 years of job experience, starting work after finishing her bachelor’s degree. She received her Tech graduate degree from KIIT UNIVERSITY, Bhubaneswar in 2019 in Core Electrical Engineering. She has some experience from previous internships with TATA Steel in the past in the areas of HITACHI drives using PLC, and use of electrical measuring instruments. She also has been involved in major final year projects during her graduation in the design of grid-tied PV/Wind Battery System using MATLAB Simulation.

Prior to joining CES, Akankshya worked for Protiviti as a Business Intelligence Analyst (International Reporting) and Extramarks Education Pvt Ltd as a Business Operations/MIS Analyst. Her skill sets include Power BI Dashboards and Reports, DAX, Power Apps, Advanced Excel, Macros, SharePoint, Salesforce, ERP, Data Analytics, Modelling, and Interpretation using CRM, OMS, Visual Studio, DAX Studio, Power BI, and more.

Akansha joined CES in May 2018 as a SQL Server Developer. She has a background in development and testing of ETL processes, business intelligence and data warehousing. Akansha completed her Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering from UPTU University, India.

Akash joined Customized Energy Solutions as a senior analyst in May 2021. He works on manufacturing consulting and supply chain research related to emerging energy storage technologies, electric mobility markets and technologies.

Prior to joining CES, he worked at New Jersey Innovation Institute as a product development engineer. He worked on developing new solar products, driving the product migration from the research and development phase to high volume manufacturing, diagnosing and resolving technical issues and collaborating with a cross-geographical team of scientists and engineers from Germany (CTF Solar) and China (China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd.) to build an adaptive production line for solar modules. He has several publications in the photovoltaics research and development domain that are published in international journals and conferences.

He has a master’s degree in power and energy systems engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, India.

Akshay works as a business analyst at Customized Energy Solutions. He joined CES in September 2020. He is involved in scheduling operations and demand response programme of energy storage systems in electricity markets. He comes with 8+ years of experience of IT utility domain especially of smart grid, meter data management, workflow management system & customer care & billing solution.

Prior to joining CES, Akshay worked with a MNC in Business and IT Consulting space and has served utility clients in all major markets including USA, UK and Asia Pacific.

Akshay holds master’s in business administration (Power) from University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Akshay joined CES in January 2022 as QA Testing Analyst. He has previous experience in ETL/BI testing, database testing, manual testing, and Unix in telecom domain project.

Akshay has experience in sanity, functional, non-functional, rand regression testing. He has worked on tools like SSIS, HPALM, MS Power BI, and Soap UI. He was involved in Agile + Waterfall, OSS, Siebel CRM, BSS, and Mediation.

Akshay Kumar works as Assistant Manager – E-Mobility at Customised Energy Solutions / India Energy Storage Alliance. He has expertise in strategic consulting and market analysis in the electric mobility domain. He has more than three years of focused work experience in the energy & mobility sector in the field of policy, regulatory, government advocacy and strategic planning.

His main field of knowledge includes electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, smart grid and connected technologies required to ensure a smooth transition to a smarter future.

He holds a master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Birmingham City University, United Kingdom and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharda University, Noida.

Alan joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2007 and began actively participating in the NYISO stakeholder process where market rules are developed and implemented. He provides reporting and consulting services to clients in the NYISO market, with detailed analysis that helps those clients make informed business decisions related to New York’s wholesale electricity markets. Alan is the current chair of the NYISO’s Budget and Priorities Working Group and Bylaws Subcommittee and is a past chair of the Price Responsive Load Working Group, the Business Issues Committee, and the Management Committee.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Alan worked in the pharmaceutical industry. Alan earned his BA from Penn State University and his MBA from Binghamton University.

Alan Hunt joined Customized Energy Solutions as a System Operator in April of 2022. Prior to joining CES, Alan worked as an Electrical Engineering Associate at Burns Engineering, Inc and specialized in the analysis, design, and construction of advanced power systems. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Energy Engineering.

Aleksa graduated Mercyhurst University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Competitive Intelligence and minor in Information Technology. Prior to graduation, Aleksa worked at Mercyhurst IT department for 2 years and had a 1-year internship at a cyber-security company MCPc. After graduation, he worked at LogisticsPlus for a little under 2 years prior to joining CES as a QA Analyst in April 2022.

Alexander joined CES in September 2013.  He is working on several internet applications with the main focus on CES | GREEN.  Alexander has a background in desktop and web programming. He worked for software, banking and engineering businesses.  For the past 16 years, Alexander had developed many successful web portals and tools for the companies he worked for – Thomson Financial, Lehman Brothers, Panasonic Avionics and others.

In 2001 Alexander, alongside his partner, started a company developing and selling AJAX web frameworks and tools. The company was created several years before technology was accepted and implemented by Microsoft.

Alexander has a MS in Computer Science from National Technical University of Ukraine.

Alex joined CES in 2016 as a System Operator on the 24 hour renewable generation monitoring desk.  His responsibilities include the monitoring of wind turbines at 8 different sites located in the United States, communicating with wind park technicians at each site, as well as curtailing, remote resetting, and reporting on the condition and performance of the sites he oversees.  He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Administration from Marywood University and worked as a commodity futures trader before joining CES, while maintaining an active music career as a guitarist.

Alex joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2018.  As part of the Retail Energy Services team, Alex will be managing the complex billing process, focusing on exceeding our SLA’s, automation and scalability.  Alex came to CES with 20 years experience in the Retail Electric industry, from EDI development with PSEG, leading operations/billing teams with PPLSolutions/Hansen Technologies and automating operations processes within Talen Energy.  Alex graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Economics.

Alex joined Customized Energy Solutions in March 2019.  He works for the Infrastructure Team as a database administrator. Alex has over 10 years of database administration experience. Prior to joining CES he worked as a programmer/analyst. Alex graduated from Temple University with BS in electrical engineering and MS from New Jersey Institute of Technology in computer and Information Sciences.

Alex joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2016. He is responsible for Development, Maintenance, Change Management, QA, Deployment and 24/7 support of CESGREEN application.

Prior to joining CES Alex worked as IT contractor on US Army projects.

Alex spend 14 years working as Sr. Web Developer at UBS Bank where he was responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting critical J2EE and Mainframe banking and brokerage applications.

Alex has a MS in Computer Science from Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Aliza Khan joined Customized Energy Solutions as Junior Billing Analyst in July 2018. Aliza provides billing support for the retail team and focuses on complex billing and bill ready (EDI bills) process. Prior to working at CES, she worked for Thomas Cook process for credit control team and managed account receivable debt. Aliza attended University of Pune and has her MBA in Finance.

Amit Gosavi has over 8 years of experience in NBFC, healthcare, Agri-tech, advertising, and ERP. His previous roles involved client interaction and understanding their needs and market research. He is also well-versed with SDLC lifecycle. He handled clients from Middle East, France, Australia, Africa, Sri Lanka and India. Amit holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Pune University.

Andrea Calo is the Director of Mexico Market Intelligence with Customized Energy Solutions where she focuses on analyzing and reporting on the Mexican electricity market rules, their implementation and implications, helping clients navigate the complicated labyrinth of regulations, manuals and processes.

She has an extensive background in the energy industry in LATAM. Before working with CES Andrea worked for Duke Energy International, where among other responsibilities she led efforts for business development in Colombia and Mexico, and prior to that was Legal Director at Enron Argentina, and in-house counsel for multinational energy corporations in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Andrea earned her J.D and Postgraduate Degree in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Buenos Aires. She also holds a Mediation Degree with Specialization in Corporate Mediation from the Buenos Aires Bar Association School of Mediation, and is a Licensed Mediator before the Argentine Ministry of Justice. She is also co-founder and board member of the International Society for Mexico Energy (ISME).

Andreas joined CES in 2023 and is an energy expert with a proven track record of bringing complex energy projects to fruition in diverse and challenging environments across the world. He has closed $1.5B worth of PPA transactions for power deals in 20 countries through Telkes, the energy advisory firm he founded. Although most of these deals were in the US and Europe, Andreas also negotiated PPAs written in Spanish (Latin America & Spain), Portuguese (Brazil) and French (France and Belgium).

Andreas previously worked for Holcim, Bain & Company, Schlumberger and energy startups Aqylon and LevelTen. Andreas has a Bachelors’ in Chemical Engineering from Princeton and a Masters’ in Renewable Energy Science from Ecole Polytechnique. His mission is to advance renewable energy through innovative ways that use the latest technology. Andreas is professionally fluent in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese, and also speaks some Romanian and Greek.

Andrew joined Customized Energy Solutions in 2020.   Andrew is responsible for the company’s business development activities related to wholesale energy services, which includes generation-asset management services and related energy management services for generation owners, large commercial and industrial companies, and load serving entities.

Andrew brings over twenty years of experience in the electricity and natural gas markets across North America.  His core expertise is in the power sector with deep experience in both the wholesale and retail markets.  Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Andrew has led several functions including portfolio-risk management, origination, trading and asset management activities for ENGIE Resources, Reliant Energy, Duke Energy Trading and Marketing and 174 Power Global.  Andrew holds a BA in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Andrew’s career at Customized Energy Solutions began as an intern, signing on towards the end of October 2018. He started working with the Retail Billing group but transitioned to a full time QA Analyst role after graduation. His responsibilities include writing test cases and requirements, analyzing system functionality and testing throughout multiple environments.

Prior to joining CES, he had two internships at UPS and Deacom, a startup ERP solutions firm. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys rooting for the Sixers and traveling to new places. He received a BS in Management Information Systems from Temple University.

Angela joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2020 as a data analyst on the Retail Operations team. She is responsible for client support and problem resolution and testing functions to support Retail Operations.

Prior to joining CES, Angela worked as an EDI analyst and supplier support lead for UGI Utilities, Inc. Angela holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Penn State University and a master’s degree in Energy Economics from the University of Milan.

Anh has more than 8 years of experience in testing, especially in web and mobile application. He was a senior QC at Pear Therapeutics, a product company of the health care providers industry.

Anh earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and graduated from International University – VNU – HCM in 2013.

Aniket Kotpalliwar joined CES in February 2023 as a Business Intelligence Analyst. His areas of expertise include BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx along with techno functional experience in the areas of business consulting and analytics.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from G.H Raisoni college of Engineering, Nagpur and a post graduate diploma in international business from Pune university.

Prior to joining CES, Aniket worked for a luxury brand Swarovski as a Project Coordinator for five years, and before that he also had a short stint with an Oil & gas company Dodsal Group in UAE as an Interface coordinator.

Anil works as a Lab Analyst at CES. He Joined Customized Energy Solutions in Jan 2019. He is part of the Technical Teams, battery & Solar Testing Laboratory at CES Pune.

Prior to joining CES, he has more than 2 years of experience in Solar sector, Renewable Energy, Machine Shop & Utility maintenance.

He has graduated from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics & Power Engineering.

Anil joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2015 and works in the India as Office Assistant. He began his career with Customized Energy Solutions and is responsible for office management and day to day routine work like inventory management, keeping records, document management etc.

Anil joined CES in February 2021 as a Lead Database Developer. He has been working for CES as a contractor since July 2019. He has 12 years of experience in Software Development. He has a background in development and testing of ETL processes, business intelligence, SQL Server, and data warehousing. Anil has completed his Bachelors in Information Technology from Pune University, India.

Anila Vangjeli joined Customized Energy Solutions as Marketing Manager in May 2017. Anila provides marketing support to all CES Business Lines. She is responsible for conferences, the creation of new and improved marketing materials, digital marketing and more.

Anjan Kumar Merkap has over 6 years of experience, working across renewable energy, industrial automation, and financial services. Anjan is an experienced professional in the clean tech domain, covering e-mobility, energy storage and smart grids. Previously he has worked with companies like Panitek Power, CRISIL, Yokogawa and Grasim Industries. Anjan has completed Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology and holds an MBA in Finance and Business Analytics from IMT Nagpur.

Ankit works as a full-time Software Developer at Customized Energy Solutions. He joined CES in December 2021. His main responsibilities at CES include software development and enhancement for the COMETS suite of tools. He works with optimization and deep learning models geared towards optimization of energy storage resource.

Prior to joining CES, he worked on full-stack development of a trading BOT for the Indian stock exchange. He also worked on the implementation of double auction in the energy market, weighing several bidding strategies to identify the optimal one and deploying it on the Ethereum blockchain through a smart contract.

FinTech, Data Science, and Blockchain Technology are three of his areas of interest.

In 2021, he received his master’s degree in electrical engineering with specialization in control systems from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute(VJTI), Mumbai. Throughout the coursework, his research focused on the applications of machine learning algorithms to electrical systems.

As a senior consultant, Ann assists clients with evaluating the costs and benefits of emerging technologies under different market structures. Ann has extensive experience in modeling the technical and economic aspects of energy storage and other emerging technologies. Her work includes developing use cases and value proposition of integrating energy storage with renewable energy projects and evaluating the technical capabilities of various types of energy storage technologies in both structured markets and isolated electric grids. Prior to joining Customized, Ann helped a leading energy storage manufacturer evaluate new market opportunities and manage operating projects. She holds an MS in Civil Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelors’ degree in Physics from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan.

Arindam joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2021 and works in the India operations as a Manager. At CES, he is responsible of business development for open access clients, Renewable Energy Market (REC), Demand Response (DR), deciding bidding strategies for clients, contract management, and operational aspects of power trading and regulatory assistance to the clients.

Prior to joining CES, Arindam worked for a power trading company in Bangalore, India for two and a half years. He was involved in REC’S trading, and contract management.

Arindam holds a master’s in business administration (power) from the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) and a bachelor of engineering in electrical engineering.

Ashkan joined the Congestion Management group at CES in June 2016. He has a diverse background in Energy Markets Analysis, Quantitative Finance, and Financial Modeling. Ashkan assists clients with managing market risk exposure through ARR’s and FTR’s products. In addition, as a technical expert in power market studies, he supports clients with various consulting projects such as Transmission Congestion Analysis, Production Cost Modeling, Power Flow Analysis, and Available Transfer Capability Calculations. 

Before joining CES, Ashkan held positions as Transmission and Research Engineer at power market consulting firms, supporting power trading activities in various ISO’s. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Finance from New York University. 

Ashok Thakur joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2018 and is responsible to develop the ETN publication and events. He has wide experience in B2B media and worked for several international publications and events. He held the position of General Manager Sales and Marketing in Vogel Business Media Group headquartered in Würzburg, Germany and has done various consulting projects with international media house and exhibition companies. Throughout his career, he has developed publications and conferences for the Logistics-supply chain, Chemical engineering, Manufacturing technologies, Pharmaceuticals, Oil and Gas, Process Engineering, HVCA & R, Machining and Tooling, Renewable industries to name a few.  

Ashok holds an MBA degree in Marketing from Mumbai University and did his Bachelors in Physics. 

Atul Meshram joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2022 as Technical Analyst. He has over 5 years of experience in research and analysis in electrochemical properties of electrodeposited metallic coatings and metal matrix composites. He also has over 2 years research in model biogas undergoing carbon dry reforming of nickel-alumina pellet catalyst in a fixed bed reactor. He has multiple journal publications in international journals in materials engineering and a conference submission for an international conference in microscopy and microanalysis.

Atul worked a 9-month internship and onsite experience in Manufacturing and Engineering Services that involved installation and service at Honeywell Automation India Ltd. Pune and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd., Mangalore, Karnataka. He also was part of a one-year simulation course (ASPEN-HYSYS software) under Honeywell Automation India Ltd. Pune & petrochemical engineering dept, M.I.T, Pune (MOU).

Atul has his Master of Technology with a focus in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) and his Bachelor of Engineering with a focus in petrochemical engineering from M.I.T Pune (Pune University). He’s currently in the process of receiving his Doctorate at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in Interdisciplinary Centre for Energy Research Dept.

Avanthika Satheesh joined Customized Energy Solutions as Senior Energy Analyst in August 2018. Today, Avanthika is working as an Industry Research Manager. Prior to joining CES, Avanthika was Senior Analyst at India Energy Storage Alliance in Pune, India. Avanthika has brought over nine years of experience in the Energy and Power systems sector in market research and strategic consulting.

Avanthika has a bachelor of technology in electrical engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, a post graduate diploma in business administration and operations management from Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning, and a master’s of engineering from Anna University.

Baker joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2022 as a Generation Operator on the OCC Desk. Before joining the CES Team, Baker was a Virtual Solar Control Room Operator for Miller Bros Solar.

Baker has a background in the power plant industry, getting his start with Wheelabrator Technologies as an Overhead Crane Operator and Assistant Utility Operator in Westville, NJ.

Balaji Yelmar joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2021 as a Software Developer.

Balaji has around eight years of experience in software development lifecycle including analysis, design documentation and web-based application development using Microsoft Technologies.

Balaji holds his Master’s degree in computer science from Solapur University.

Bao joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022 as Software Engineer.

Prior to joining CES, Bao has 5 years of experience working in the software industry, where he was the developer of various salesforce and human resources systems.

Bao has his B.S degree from the University of Information Technology, Vietnam.

Barbara Clemenhagen joined Customized in 2013 and is an expert in regulatory advocacy and market design, with a focus on energy markets.  She has experience with leading strategic initiatives for generators, power marketers and retailers to enhance competitive markets, including the design and establishment of markets, and the introduction of new rules, structures, services and products. During her extensive career she has taken on projects that range from strategic to operational, and include strategy and business planning, market design, regulatory, project finance, acquisitions and divestitures. Her specialties include: commodity markets, market design, regulatory and administrative law, and project finance.  During her tenure at Topaz Power, she served on the ERCOT Board of Directors representing the Independent Generator market segment. Barbara previously served on the ERCOT Technical Advisory Committee and chaired the ERCOT Wholesale Market Subcommittee for several years. From January 2009 to March 2013, she was the President of the Texas Competitive Power Advocates; a trade association representing the largest power generators, wholesale power marketers and retail electric providers in ERCOT.

Ben joined CES as a Renewable Generation Operator in September of 2016. His current responsibilities include the monitoring, diagnostics, curtailment, and remote repair of wind farms. Additionally, he is responsible for coordinating both planned and unplanned outages with different transmission operators and ISO’s as well as providing weekly and month-to-date reporting on site performance conditions to the customer. 

Before joining CES, Ben attended Liberty University where he graduated in May of 2016 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Intelligence.

Bhupesh Verma joined Customized Energy Solutions (CES) in December 2021. His research interests include energy storage, electric vehicles, renewable energy, green fuels and emerging technologies.

Prior to joining CES, he worked as a Senior research analyst at the Center for study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP), Bangalore. He has over nine years of experience, working in solar PV, battery storage technologies and electric vehicles. His expertise lies in supply-chain analysis, techno-economic analysis and technology assessment for sustainability. He has conducted various studies which have provided actionable inputs to stakeholders across public and private sectors. He has authored various research outputs including technical reports, journal articles, conference papers, policy briefs, book chapters, and more. He also publishes opinion articles to disseminate important research findings of public interest.

He holds an MBA degree from Shoolini University and has completed his Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from Himachal Pradesh University.

Bhushan Khade joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2022 as a Manager – Stationary Energy Storage. His current interest includes multiple emerging technologies like Energy Storage, Smart Grid, Electric Vehicle and Renewable Energy Integration.

Before joining CES, Bhushan worked with India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) where he was responsible for the preparation of Technical Reports, Concept Notes, Technical Proposals and White Papers on Smart Grid Technologies. He also worked with a renewable energy consulting firm as a Strategic Consultant where he was involved with Central Government, State Government and other private organizations for Solar PV Projects.

Bhushan completed his MBA in Power Management, M.Tech. in Electrical Power System, and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. He also completed Advanced Certificate in Power Distribution Management from IGNOU.

Bill joined Customized in October 2009.  He is leading internal technology initiatives to provide web-based reports to clients and to streamline internal operations pertaining to ISO interfaces. Bill has a background in systems integration, market operations and market settlements within the deregulated electric power industry.

For the past eleven years, Bill was responsible for data implementations, systems integrations, custom software applications, reporting & analysis consulting with several ISOs and electric companies. Bill has a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State and spent the first twelve years of his career as a test engineer for GE.

Bill joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2013. His primary area of focus is providing PJM regulatory coverage with an interest in generation assets.

Prior to joining Customized, Bill worked as an analyst for Monitoring Analytics, the PJM Market Monitor.

Bindu joined CES in January 2019. She has experience in policy and regulatory framework of the power sector along with equally good understanding of the entire power sector value chain. She also provides support to India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) in policy & regulatory activities.

Before joining CES, she was associated with the policy advocacy team of Sterlite Power and worked on different policy and regulations released by government authorities and submitted suggestions to respective authorities from Sterlite and a few other industry associations like FICCI, IEEMA, EPTA etc. Her experience includes research and analysis on different power sector issues, markets and trends, etc.

Previously she has worked with East Coast Energy Private Limited, NCC Power Projects Ltd., and both Mega Supercritical Power Projects where she handled the responsibilities of project management and regulatory issues related to construction of generation projects and associated transmission lines. She has her Master’s in electrical Power Engineering with Business from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Binh joined CES as a QA and worked with the development team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Prior to joining CES, she started with FPT Ho Chi Minh and worked as a senior QA for over 8 years in various industries. She also has 2 years of experience in a start-up company in Thailand. She has been involved in all parts of the software development cycle, such as interacting with clients to make clear requirements and working on testing as part of projects.

Brandon first joined CES in June of 2011 as a system operator and currently holds the position of Director – Market Operations Center. Prior to joining CES, Brandon obtained a BA in Economics from Rowan University.

Brandon’s current responsibilities include overseeing the CES 24/7 Market Operations Center which consists of two monitoring desks: Market Operation Center (MOC) and Operations Control Center (OCC).

The CES 24-hour Market Operations Center is fully staffed with regional grid operator-certified personnel who perform wholesale forward market offers, real-time generation offers, scheduling and monitoring, curtailment management, and reserve and regulation offers and monitoring. Servicing a portfolio spanning all major RTO/ISO’s located in North America and consisting of approximately 9 Gigawatts of installed capacity with a diverse fuel mixture including: wind, hydro, solar, battery, natural gas and fossil generation facilities.

Brian joined CES in March of 2017 as a Software Engineer. Prior to joining CES he worked as an Application Developer at Presante Health Care. Brian has over 20 years’ experience as a software developer. He has a BSC diploma in Applicable Mathematics from Dundee Institute of Technology

Brian joined CES in April 2022.  His area of focus is providing coverage on CAISO policy and regulatory matters in the West.  Prior to joining CES he was a senior advisor in Regulatory Affairs and Procurement Policy at Southern California Edison (SCE).  In his roles at SCE, he managed regulatory filings, CAISO stakeholder processes, and CAISO settlements. His areas of expertise include resource adequacy, CAISO settlements and California regulatory policy.

In addition to his work at SCE, Brian began his energy career at CAISO, helping implement the settlement system for the nodal market.  He also has worked in consultant and for a Community Choice Aggregator (CCA). He has a BA from the University of California at Davis.

Brian joined CES in January 2018 as Technical Project Manager for the Retail Services team. After supporting the Retail Services team in various business and technical initiatives, he now provides these services to all CES technical teams.

Brian holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Marietta College in Ohio. Prior to joining CES, Brian has worked in the software industry for over 10 years working for companies in the financial and healthcare industries. He brings a strong background of everything from full stack software development to IT planning and strategy.

Bridget Headrick serves as a Senior Consultant, Market Intelligence – ERCOT, for Customized Energy Solutions, providing reporting and consulting services on ERCOT regulatory matters to CES clients.   Bridget has more than 20 years of experience in the Texas electric industry, including managing regulatory and compliance programs for different types of electric utilities and working on behalf of the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT).

Before joining CES, Bridget served as the Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory for Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc., the nation’s largest distribution electric cooperative serving more than 1 million members across Central Texas, overseeing activities related to regulatory matters, internal policies, environmental issues, risk and insurance, and cybersecurity.  Bridget previously served in roles as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for Sharyland Utilities, LP and Lone Star Transmission, LLC, leading regulatory activities which respectively included transitioning from bundled retail electric service to retail competition and establishing the regulatory program for a new transmission utility established through the Competitive Renewable Energy Zones process.  At the PUCT, Bridget served as a policy analyst and primary advisor to four different Commissioners, advising on all aspects of electric issues including rulemakings, contested cases, and general policy development.  During this time, Bridget assisted with issues surrounding the transition of the retail electric market to a competitive model, which involved balancing the various perspectives of market participants to create successful market guidelines, and advised on market issues in both ERCOT and the Southwest Power Pool.

Caitlin joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2017, as a Jr. Financial Analyst.  She is on the Retail Services team and is primarily focused on complex billing, managed portfolio, and resettlements.

Prior to joining CES, Caitlin worked in the wind industry, gaining experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and sales. Caitlin graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Energy, Business, and Finance and a Minor in Economics.

Calvin joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2018. He is part of the technical team.

During graduation, he had undertaken various projects and also founded and headed a solar-electric vehicle team, Team Solarium.

He has graduated from Pune University, with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Carl joined Customized in October 2013. He reports on stakeholder activities at PJM Interconnection and represents the PJM Public Power Coalition.

Carla joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2013.  Her current role as part of the Retail Services team includes assisting clients with new market entry and enrollments. Carla gained over 13 years of experience in the energy industry working for GE Nuclear Energy and Constellation NewEnergy as a software engineer and production support analyst. Some of her duties included the implementation and support for monitoring, billing, and enrollment systems for multiple markets throughout the US. She has a BA in Computer Information Science from University of California, Santa Cruz.

Cassius joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2023 as an E-mobility and policy specialist. He works extensively on developing the E-mobility ecosystem, assessing policy as well as looking at relevant emerging technologies for CES.

Cassius has in-depth experience as a policy, mobility and energy specialist. In this capacity, he has worked with both the public and private sector in addition to development organizations. Cassius has extensive experience in developing strategy, technology scouting, transportation researching and making policy recommendations. Prior to joining CES, he has worked for SoHHytec SA, The Swiss Innovation Office in India, World Resources Institute (WRI) India, World Bank Institute (WBI) and the Gateway House.

Cassius holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India with a specialization in Transportation Policy. He also holds a certification in Futures Foresight Frameworks and Methodologies for Policy Making from Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore.

Chandrashekhar Chincholkar joined CES India Pvt Ltd as Director – Corporate Advisory in September 2022. His focus areas are corporate fundraise, M & A, start-up eco system and institutional services in the new energy space.

Chandrashekhar has 32 years of experience in corporate finance, capital markets, manufacturing and consulting. He previously worked with organizations of repute like KPIT Technologies Ltd, Avendus Capital Pvt Ltd and Ambit Capital Pvt. Ltd in the areas of electric mobility and clean technologies, corporate advisory, fundraising, business valuations, institutional road shows and portfolio investments in India. He previously covered markets like India, Singapore, Hongkong and USA during his career. He is a Management Accountant and Company Secretary from India.

Charles Adzema joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2019.  Charles has over 10 years of experience working in the Retail Energy industry in various capacities as an analyst, consultant, and operations manager.

His most recent duties prior to CES were leading operations billing teams with PPLSolutions and Hansen Technologies.  Charles earned his BS in Energy, Business, & Finance from the Pennsylvania State University and MBA from DeSales University.

Chuck joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2014 as a System Operator. Chuck supports the day-to-day activity in the Day-Ahead and Real-time energy markets. He is responsible for submitting Day-Ahead bids and offers, Day-Ahead and Real-time Demand Response, Emergency Load Response and energy market settlements.

Charlie joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2016 as Senior Analyst of Retail Market Services, working on the Retail Team with a focus on load forecasting and retail portfolio management and analytics.

Before joining CES Charlie spent 4+ years in the energy industry, working in finance and wholesale energy operations for a then startup retail electricity provider, as well as asset management and operational FP&A for a global renewable energy developer/Yield Co. He has broad industry experience, including financial modeling and forecasting (on the demand side for retail portfolios, and on the generation side for solar/wind/hydro assets), retail book management and pricing, REC tracking and procurement, power hedging risk management strategy, startup financial strategy and operations, asset management, and budgeting/variance analysis.

Charlie graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2011 with a BA in Economics, Financial Economics, and Corporate Strategy, and enjoys long walks along the Schuylkill River bank with his dog Crissy.

Charlie Howland joined Customized Energy Solutions as its outside General Counsel in October, 2019.  He is a partner and head of the Environmental Group at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, an international law firm headquartered in New York City where he advises U.S. and foreign clients on all aspects of environmental and energy law.  Among his focuses are legal issues associated with ‘grid edge’ energy projects, including financing and siting renewable energy projects on environmentally impaired lands (‘brightfields’).

Charlie joined Curtis after a 28 year career at the USEPA, where he served as a Senior Assistant Regional Counsel at the agency’s Region 3 office working on complex site cleanups and enforcement actions, as well as several guidance-writing workgroups.  During a leave of absence from the agency in 2008-09 he served as general counsel for a renewable energy developer.

In 2018 he served as Senior Advisor to EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, helping to implement Superfund Task Force reforms.  In 2019 EPA appointed Charlie to the Superfund Working Group of the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council, which is advising the EPA Administrator on how to better ensure community acceptance of Superfund cleanups and revitalization of communities in a manner that recognizes the unique burdens and vulnerabilities of adjacent environmental justice populations.

Between 2004 and 2018 he served on the Lower Merion Township Planning Commission, the last four years as co-chair.  He currently serves as a member of the board of the Energy Coordinating Agency, which provides programs to help address the energy needs of low-income Philadelphians through energy conservation, education, heating, and home repair services.

Charlie has presented at numerous professional conferences on various environmental and energy law issues.  He has taught environmental law at several different universities in the U.S. and abroad; developed and for several year co-taught Energy Law at Villanova Law; and currently teaches Navigating the Regulatory State: Law, Science and Policy at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  He has been named a U.S. State Department Fulbright Fellow Specialist, and in September, 2019 spent two weeks at the UiT: Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø, helping UiT create a new Joint Nordic Master Programme in Environmental and Energy Law.

Charlie holds a B.A. from Cornell University, and a J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law.  He has also completed executive education programs at the Harvard University JFK School of Government (Understanding Environmental Economics: Strategies for Policy Makers and Managers) and the U.S. Department of Energy National Renewable Energy Laboratory (Energy Executive Leadership Institute).

Charu joined CES in August 2022 as QA Analyst. She has previous experience in functional testing, API testing and database verification for web. She is involved in QA testing activities in support of the  release of ETL, reporting and web applications.

Prior to CES, she has worked with product-based organizations as a QA Engineer, performing manual and automation QA responsibilities in the banking domains.

Chennakesava Yetukuri joined Customized Energy Solutions as Data Analyst – Retail in May 2023. Prior to joining CES, Chennakesava was a Data Analyst for Xiaomi India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore where he was responsible for product level pricing analysis, category management team, management and development of daily/weekly/monthly reports, zonal level target setting, sale forecasting, and more. He also worked for TATA Consumer Products and Udaan.com.

Chennakesava received his B. TECH from KL University, Vijayawada in 2018.

Chris joined CES as a System Operator in August of 2015.  His current responsibilities include the monitoring, diagnostics, curtailment and remote repair of wind farms. Additionally, He is responsible for coordinating both planned and unplanned outages with different transmission operators and ISO’s as well as providing weekly and month to date reporting on site performance conditions to the customer.  Before joining CES, Chris attended Rowan University where he obtained his BA in Business.

Chris joined CES in April 2020.  His area of focus is providing coverage on CAISO policy and regulatory matters in the West.  Prior to joining CES he was a lead and senior policy developer with CAISO.  In his role with CAISO, he has led numerous CAISO stakeholder initiatives and developed proposals to enhance and establish new CAISO policies.  His areas of expertise include resource adequacy, transmission cost recovery and emerging technologies.

Before joining CAISO in 2015, Chris held a role as wholesale energy markets advisor to the Michigan Public Service Commission where he represented Michigan interests in the stakeholder processes of MISO and PJM Regional Transmission Organizations.  He obtained a BA in economics from Michigan State University.

Chris Lyons serves as Senior Consultant, Market Intelligence – SPP for CES. He has 25 years of experience working within the stakeholder processes across several energy markets including PJM, MISO, ERCOT, and SPP. Prior to joining CES, Mr. Lyons was Senior Manager of Wholesale Market Design with Exelon Corporation, one of the nation’s largest energy suppliers, where he was responsible for sponsoring and advocating for market rule changes to reduce the company’s compliance risk. Prior to Exelon, Mr. Lyons held a variety of positions with Constellation Energy, a Fortune 500 company that provides generation, distribution, wholesale, and retail energy services to residential and commercial customers. Mr. Lyons’ experience with Constellation includes retail and wholesale supply transactions, transmission scheduling, and NERC compliance. Mr. Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University and an MBA from the University of Baltimore.

Chris joined Customized Energy in April 2011 after working as an Information Technology consultant for CES for more than five years.  Prior to joining CES full-time, Chris assisted with infrastructure design and upgrades as well as integration between CES, ISO market participants and RTOs.

Chris has 15 years of experience in various aspects of the IT field and SMB consulting.  Chris graduated from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales, now DeSales University, in 1997 with a BS in Computer Science, Information Technology and a minor in Business Management.

This is Chris Santosusso’s first time working in the industry. He worked in construction and signage before joining CES. He previously was a Project Coordinator where he developed and improved skills such as multiple project coordination, employee training, administrative assistance, data entry, and accounting.

Chris studied accounting at Widener University and accounting and business/management at Fox School of Business at Temple University.

Craig joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2013 bringing more that 20 years of software sales, marketing, development and delivery experience to the CES Retail Team.  He is primarily focused on helping CES clients gain market entry, streamline their EDI and Billing process and more accurately manage forecasting and scheduling thorough the implementation of Customized’s end-to-end hosted software platforms.

With more than 16 years of experience in the energy sector, Craig’s efforts on behalf of his clients have allowed them to realize many millions of thousands of dollars in savings and increased profits by implementing software and services while focusing on their core business.  Prior to joining CES, Craig managed a team of solution architects delivering best in class infrastructure management software to some of the world’s largest organizations.  Additionally, Craig established sales and marketing methodology while developing teams for RealWinWin, FirstCarbon Solutions and LPB Energy Management.

Curtis joined Customized in 2013 bringing over 20+ years of energy experience with 13+ years providing consulting services to clients across multiple ISO/RTO markets (ERCOT, SPP, NE, NY, PJM, MISO, CAISO). He has managed numerous merger and acquisition efforts for large wholesale market participants across the country.  Curtis has experience providing and implementing front, mid, and back office services and solutions for clients.  Curtis leverages his extensive business acumen complimented by a strong technology background to effectively and efficiently provide superior customer service. Through his extensive experience in the industry, Curtis adds depth and breadth to the Customized Energy Solutions team.

Dan joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2016, as an analyst on the Retail Services team.  He provides support to the group in billing operations, EDI, and client and data management. 

Prior to joining CES, Dan managed the records database for an intellectual property legal practice. He graduated from West Chester University with a degree in English. 

Dan joined CES in December 2016 as a Network Administrator. Prior to joining CES, Dan worked for an IT consulting company that catered to SMB companies in the Philadelphia area. He was responsible for setting up servers and network design. He is a self taught IT expert with more than 15 years of experience. Dan graduated from the University of Maryland & the University of Nice as a French language major.

Darshil works as an Analyst. He joined CES in Jan, 2018. He has been working for CES as a contractor since April 2016. He has 2 years of experience in Software Development. He has background in web tool and front end development. In CES, He has been involved in development of CoMETS Web tool.

Darshil holds Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering.

Dat joined CES as a full-stack software engineer and worked with the development team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Prior to joining CES, Dat worked in the software development industry for over 11 years as a technical expert, team lead and full-stack developer. He worked in various industries including energy, retail, document management, bank/financial sector, vehicle management, sport, and more.

He has a B.S in Information Technology from University of Natural Sciences.

Dattesh joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Software Developer in May 2021 and is part of CoMETS Team.

Prior to joining CES, he worked with Covacsis Technologies, Mumbai. He has more than 6 years of experience in application development, maintenance, and support lifecycle.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in instrumentation engineering from University of Mumbai, India.

Dave joined CES in June of 2014 as an analyst in the Demand Response group, and he now functions as the ISO Operations Manager for the team. This broad role entails analyzing market and customer data to evaluate market opportunities, developing new business, and providing the most economical propositions to the customer. This requires completion of compliance and settlements tasks for ISO DR programs and keeping up to date on the DR regulatory environment and energy markets. He also implements procedures for standardized processes and leads the team’s Peak Load Management efforts.

Prior to joining Customized, Dave attended Penn State University, earning a BS in Energy, Business, and Finance with an economics minor.

David joined CES in September 2019 to fill the new role of Desktop Support for our Infrastructure Services department.  David is excited to apply his 18 years of customer service and management experience to the position.  David earned his B.S in Management and Information Systems from the Pennsylvania State University.

David joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2020 assigned to the Wholesale Energy Services – Midwest Region.

David comes to us from MISO where he spent the last fifteen years working in the Market Settlements group.  Prior to MISO, David worked for Cinergy in various roles as a Settlement Analyst, Confirmation Administrator and interned on the Hourly Trader/Scheduling desk.  He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Thomas More College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University.

David joined Customized Energy Solutions in January 2007.  David provides reporting services regarding ongoing developments in the policies and rules of the MISO markets.  He also provides economic and regulatory consulting services, including litigation support.  In addition, he represents the interests of the MISO LSE Coalition, a group of 18 largely transmission dependent municipal, cooperative and similar electric utilities throughout the MISO region.  FERC has favorably relied on his testimony in cost allocation and market power cases.

David earned a BA in Economics from Trinity University (TX) and a PhD in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

David joined Customized Energy Solutions in August, 2017. As a senior database administrator of IS team, he serves all business lines needs in database development and management areas.

David brings over 20 years IT industry experience in database management and software development. Prior to joining CES, he worked for Kantar Media as a senior database administrator. David has his B.S. in Computer Engineering and M.S. in Computer Science from Nanjing University.

Dayanand Solapure joined CES as a Senior Software Developer in November 2021. He has about 12 years of very diverse experience in .Net technologies.

Prior to joining CES, Dayanand was working with Springer Nature Technologies and Publishing Solutions. He has experience in System Architecture and Database Designing. He was responsible for building highly scalable, performant, and robust software solutions from concept to delivery.

He holds a master’s degree in Computer Applications from Pune University Maharashtra, India.

Debi joined Customized Energy solutions in April 2013. He has been involved in financial analysis and modeling for both India and US market projects. He is responsible for market research and report writing for Renewable energy and Emerging Technology applications. He also provides support to India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) for IESA promotions, events, technology support to IESA website and IESA-KPN services.   Debi has 2 and half years of prior experience in consulting at Oracle Financial Services for Asia-Pacific Region.

Debi holds an MBA degree in Finance from SCMHRD (Symbiosis International University), Pune, India and a bachelor of Technology from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, India. Debi was part of several national / international competitions winning teams during his MBA program.

Deepak Menon joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2016 and works in India operations as Assistant Manager. He started his career as PA to MD in Enkay Homes, and later he joined Manikaran Power, he was an integral part for liasoning and business development team for 2years. At Customized he is responsible for developing business by helping clients to reduce energy cost through power trading / open access and facilitating them with all the state & local government clearance required.

Deepak is a Bachelor of Science graduate from Bangalore University.

Deepika Bangar joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022 as Quality Analyst. She has 3.5 years of experience in the industry. Her skills include functional testing, AI testing, UI automation testing using selenium WebDriver & Java, SOAP UI, and POSTMAN.

Deepika has her B.E. in Computer Engineering from Pune University.

Dimitrije joined Retail Services team at CES as a Software Engineering co-op in April 2019 and a full-time Software Developer in June 2020. His main responsibilities include software development and data integrity assurance related to operations, billing and reporting in CES|BLUE.

Prior to joining CES, Dimitrije had two co-ops with PECO Energy and Comtrade System Integration as a Business Analyst and Business Intelligence Analyst. Dimitrije graduated in 2020 from Drexel University with a BSBA in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics. During his time at Drexel, he was an international student athlete on Drexel Rowing team and a Teaching Assistant at LeBow College of Business.

Doug joined CES in June 2021 as a Sr. Scrum Master. He is responsible for assisting teams in executing technical strategies for CES’s technology offerings and supporting IT delivery teams/processes.

Doug comes from PJM Interchange to CES. At PJM Interchange as Sr. Scrum Master, Doug worked with team members, IT departments and vendors to implement a large “Privileged Access Management” (PAM) security environment within the organization. Doug also participated in NERC/CIP standards audits to protect the electric grid.

Doug brings over 20 years of technology experience across a variety of industries and technologies from operations, DevOps, project management and nearly 10 years Agile project management skills. His goal within CES is to assist in the acceleration of technology and team growth.

Doug is Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner CSPO, and SAFe 5.0 Certified.

As a member of the Scrum Alliance family, he is keeping up with latest trends and best practices with Agile project management.

Dr. Manne Venkateswarlu (MV) has two decades of research experience in the field of battery materials and rechargeable batteries. He received his M.Sc, M.Phil & Ph.D degrees respectively from Banaras Hindu University,  Pondicherry University and Osmania University. He did his post-doctoral research in the field of Lithium-ion batteries at National Taiwan University of Science & Technology (NTUST), Taipei, Taiwan. Prior to that, he served as a faculty at SRM Easwari Engineering College, Chennai where he received research project grant on developing Solid Electrolyte materials for demonstration of prototype Solid State Batteries.

Manne served as a Head, R&D lithium-ion battery at Amara Raja Batteries Ltd since 2013 until his superannuation on August 30^th, 2022.  He played an anchor role in obtaining li-ion battery technology licence from ISRO and setting up pilot scale manufacturing facilities of li-ion cells of all three form factors. He also played leadership role in setting up a joint research center on “Energy Storage Device” at SRM University in Andhra Pradesh Campus. He is a Principal Investigator (PI) of the SELBA (Solid Electrolytes for solid-state Lithium BAttery) research project, which develops all solid State Battery for the EVs, awarded by IGSTC.

Manne has associated with several academic institutions and served as a BoS member in prominent institutions such as Pondicherry University, Yogi Vemana University, Vignan University and promising engineering colleges GVP Engineering College in Vishakapatnam and CR Engineering College in Tirupati.  He has organized an international conference on sustainable energy storage technologies for smart cities respectively in association with IIT Tirupati and SRM University AP in the year 2016 & 2018. He has served as co-convenor of the international conference of “Intelligent Robotics, Mechatronics and Automation System” (IRMAS-2022), held at VIT University, Chennai in the April 2022. He is co-author of hundred plus research papers (H-index of 25), a book chapter, patents (BMS & design of Power bank casing) & co-editor of proceedings of an international conference. He is a Life member in the learned societies such as technical (SAEST), quality (QCFI) & educational (KECA) and was core member of the APSE society.

Dr Manne Venkateswarlu has led the R&D team for the innovation awards in the advanced Lithium-ion battery, Storage, and Innovation in the Materials & Chemistry in the years 2020 & 2021respectively. For his persistent contribution to the green energy storage technologies; he was recipient of an appreciation from MRS Singapore in the year 2018. Recently, MV was honoured with the best research scientist and R&D Leadership in the year 2020 & 2021 respectively by SRK Society and EMobility+. Dr.MV has received the Researcher of the Year Award (Industry) and Research Specialist award in the field of Clean Mobility Leadership and Lifetime achievement award respectively honoured by IESA, E Mobility+ and VIT University, Chennai in the year 2022.

Dr.Rahul Walawalkar is President & MD of Customized Energy Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. He leads the Emerging Technologies domain for Customized Energy Solutions globally, and has emerged as a thought leader in the areas of energy storage, renewables, demand response, electric vehicles, and smart grid technologies.

Rahul founded the India Energy Storage Alliance in 2012 and continues to serve as its President, improving energy storage and e-mobility in India. He served as board member for Energy Storage Association, USA during 2009-15 and as the Chair for Global Energy Storage Alliance during 2018-20.

In 2021, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) of India inducted Rahul to be part of the Central Advisory Committee of the power regulator. Ministry of Power also inducted Rahul in 2021 to be part of the technical committee. His role consists of submitting drafts of comprehensive policy framework and recommending other necessary interventions and measures for promotion of storage related projects.  He played an instrumental role in providing stakeholder inputs for the Advanced Chemistry Cell Battery Manufacturing Program for NITI Aayog during 2019-20, under which 50GWh of manufacturing capacity is expected under the Production Linked Incentive scheme for GOI. During 2018-19 he worked on drafting the National Energy Storage Mission for MNRE. He served as a member of the standing committee on energy storage for MNRE during 2014-17 and the national taskforce for renewable integration by Central Electricity Authority & Ministry of Power between 2013-14.

Under Rahul’s leadership, Customized Energy Solutions’ has received numerous awards, including IPPAI Power Innovation Award for creation of India Energy Storage Alliance in 2016-17, Brad Roberts Award for outstanding industry contribution by Energy Storage Association (USA) in 2016, USAID’s PACEsetter Fund Award for MICRO initiative in 2016 & 2019 and CII Innovative Energy Services Award for Tata Power Demand Response program in 2012.

In 2020, Rahul received the ‘Global Young Entrepreneur Excellence Award’ for his valuable contribution & leadership in the field of energy storage and renewable energy at the World Renewable Energy Technology Congress. In 2018, he was also recognized with India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) President’s Award for outstanding contribution to growth of smart grids in India. He is the recipient of Energy Storage Crusader Award in 2017, Institution of Engineers (India) Energy Award in 2014 and Computer Society of India’s Young IT Professional Award for 2000 & 2001.

Rahul holds a Ph.D. in engineering and public policy from Carnegie Mellon University, master’s degree in energy management from NYIT, United States and B.E. from Walchand College of Engineering, India.

Dr. Satyajit Phadke joined CES in January 2015. His focus is on consulting services in the area of energy storage and conversion technologies for various applications such as automotive, stationary power, portable power and grid scale storage. Additionally he assists with evaluation, validation and competitive bench marking of technologies.

Satyajit has in depth understanding of various energy storage technologies owing to his many years of involvement in the research and development of novel battery chemistry and materials for fuel cells. He holds three licensed patents in the area of batteries and is the author of several technical articles in this field. He has a PhD from University of Florida, a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and has worked in capacity of a post doctoral associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Princeton University.

Drew joined CES in January 2016 as a consultant with Data Acquisition Services.  He comes to CES with over 14 years of experience supporting Windows Systems and Networking for SMB customers. Drew has joined the Data Acquisition Services team developing, setting up, and supporting the DAS systems and services. Drew earned a BS from Millersville University in Secondary Education and an Associates in Computer Systems from York Technical Institute.

Duc Huynh joined Customized Energy Solutions as Senior Software Engineer in June 2022. He has been working in professional software development around 14 years for US companies in trading and tax systems.

Duc has the knowledge of programming philosophy. He is also passionate and willing to learn new technologies.

He has his master’s in computer science from The National of University in Vietnam. In May 2013, he published a science paper in ACIIDS 2013 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His paper is about finding an artificial intelligence solution to detect name disambiguation for integrating data from many sources.

Dung joined Customized Energy Solutions as a QA in June 2022.

Prior to joining CES, Dung has 7 years of experience working in the software industry and was involved in all parts of the software development cycle, such as meeting with the client and working on testing parts of the project.

Dung has his B.E in Electrical Engineering from International University.

Dustin joined Customized in September, 2015. As a system operator he is part of a 24 hr. operational team that monitors generation, performs remote repairs, and implements wind park curtailments. Additionally, he is engaged with dispatching and conducting regular day to day operations such as coordinating outages and communicating with engineers and technicians over multiple facilities. He also carries out ongoing reporting procedures while handling bids for different ISO energy markets.

Before coming to CES, Dustin was in the U.S. Navy for six years rated as an Aviation Warfare Systems Operator – Acoustic. Primarily he was engaged with P-3 Squadrons operating sensor systems, airborne electrical equipment, and acting as an inflight communications operator. He became a watch supervisor for the remaining years in the Navy at the Integrated Underwater Surveillance System facility in Virginia Beach conducting anti-submarine warfare tactics, analysis and tracking. After the military he attended Middle Tennessee State University where he was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications.

Dustin also obtained a second Bachelor of Science degree in Photography at the Art Institute of Philadelphia and is an enthusiastic outdoor and wildlife photographer. Some of his ongoing projects include Cowtown Rodeo and the Wolf Sanctuary of Pennsylvania where he is also a volunteer.

Duy joined Customized Energy Solutions projects in January 2018 as Software Engineer for the Retail Services team. He have worked with the development team in Japan, and officially joined CES in October 2021.

Prior to joining CES, Duy has 4 years of experience working in software industry, involved in all parts of the software development cycle, such as interacting with clients to get requirements and working on high level design, detail design, and coding as part of projects.

Duy received his B.S degree in Information System from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Duy Nguyen joined Customized Energy Solutions as Sr. Software Developer in May 2022. Duy has previous experience working with UK clients since 2012 in financial, shipping processes, banking, and insurance. He also has previous experience as a Technical Architect and working onsite in the UK. He has technical skills in OS, programming languages, database, communication and networks, frameworks, libraries, services, and methodologies and tools.

Duy is a graduate of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.

Elvis Momanyi joined CES in November 2019 as System Operator. His current responsibilities include monitoring, diagnosing, and implementing wind park curtailments at locations throughout multiple ISO’s. Additionally, he is responsible for coordinating both planned and unplanned outages with different transmission operators and ISO’s and providing weekly and month to date reporting on site performance conditions to the customer. He is also responsible for managing several battery storage units and the control of several Hydro generator units

Epica joined Customized Energy Solutions as an Analyst in November 2018. She has been involved in modelling, data analysis along with market research. Her research is focused on areas such as energy storage systems and renewable energy.

Prior to joining CES, she has worked with Center for Study of Science Technology and Policy (CSTEP) as a Research Consultant for materials and storage group. At CSTEP, Epica worked in the field of electric vehicle, battery and renewable energy where she was involved in research and analysis activities. She has a few publications including a report and journal paper in this sector.

Epica holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University and  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering).

Eric Hendrick joined Customized Energy Solutions in March as a Senior Consultant for Risk Management and Origination.  Eric was concurrently Head of Supply & Trading for Guttman Energy from May 2014 through November 2015 where he lead a team in the hedging of its Appalachia natural gas and PJM power portfolios. Eric used his extensive finance and energy trading background with high attention to market analysis and risk management to ensure adequate margins for Guttman. Eric marketed power and natural gas while skillfully monitoring and analyzing the energy exchange, resulting in competitive energy prices for Guttman Energy’s customers.

Erica has a focus on client support in BLUE Administration and account updates along with assisting with change request management.

Erica joined CES with a background in data management and integration, client support, and sales. She was responsible for providing clients with onboardings, customized trainings, and consulting services to help meet their business goals along with data collection, input, and quality assurance.

Erik is responsible for the company’s services related to the wholesale electricity markets, which includes managing and scheduling generation assets in the various RTOs/ISOs, and managing the electricity purchases and electricity market activity for large users, including municipalities and industrial customers. 

Erik first joined Customized Energy Solutions in May of 2005 as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for PJM. In this role he provided market updates and information on market rule changes to many clients in PJM.

Mohammad Faiz Akram joined CES in January 2022 as Database Developer. His areas of expertise include working on T/SQL and SQL server database objects like stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, tables, and more.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology West Bengal, India.

Prior to CES, he worked with energy & utility-based organization – Esyasoft Technologies Pvt Ltd as a Database Engineer.

Faizan joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Software Developer in July 2018. Faizan is currently involved in solution architecture design, development, research, and support of software. He is also responsible for developing software platforms for real-time systems to increase reliability and having effective data interface for applications.

Prior to joining CES, Faizan was working as a Software Lead at Cuelogic Technologies. His role was to execute development of projects from concept to delivery with highly scalable, performant and robust software solutions. Faizan has more than 5 years of experience in software development.

Faizan holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Computer Application from University of Pune, India.

Ganesh Palkar joined CES as a Software Architect. Ganesh has over seven years of work experience in several technologies including microservice architecture design, containerization, and orchestration using Docker + Kubernetes, API development in Django, and NodeJS.

Ganesh also implemented an OpenStack framework that allows developers to allocate infrastructure resources on their own for faster development in lower environments.

Gaurav Arora joined Customized Energy Solutions as Infrastructure Project Manager in October 2018. He is responsible for managing and prioritizing Infrastructure and technology-related project initiatives for the enterprise.

Prior to joining CES, Gaurav was the Program and Project lead for Cloudamize. He brings eight years of technology experience across various industries as an IT/PMO leader and consultant.

Gaurav has a B.A. from Temple University and a M.S. from Penn State University.

Gaurav joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2019 as a Software Engineer. He has over three years of experience in software development sector in front-end development and back-end development.

He is responsible for detail-oriented UI design and development using technical web skills with a solid understanding of users’ perspectives. He holds a Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Computer Science from Pune University.

Gayatri joined CES in March 2022 as a Lab Operations Manager. She is part of the battery R&D team.

Gayatri holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Before joining CES, Gayatri worked with h2e Power Systems as an electrical engineer and also contributed in the development of solid oxide fuel cell.

Gina joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2014. As part of the Retail Services team, her primary focus is to provide retail natural gas suppliers support with new market entry, customer enrollments, billing, reporting, and data management. Prior to joining CES, Gina gained 12 years of experience in Residential Billing and Collections, Wholesale Power Markets, and system integration while working for Accenture Plc. Gina graduated from University of Notre Dame with a BA in Psychology.

Ginger joined Customized in 2010 as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist. Ginger provides reporting services regarding ongoing developments in the policies and rules of MISO markets. Previously, she worked at MISO as a Stakeholder Relations Specialist. In that role, she stayed familiar with wide-ranging MISO developments, policy and procedural issues, and stakeholder views.

Ginger earned a BS in Political Science from Malone College in Canton, OH and completed her MBA at Kelley School of Business.

Gopal joined Customized Energy Solutions as QA Tester in February 2020.

Prior to joining CES, Gopal was a Software Quality Analyst who worked in Manual, Automated and Section 505/Accessibility testing in various windows, client-server, web based and customer facing applications and various domains like city government agency, customer relation management system, banking and telecom billing.

Graham joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2016 as an analyst with the natural gas team. He assists in the forecasting and scheduling of natural gas, along with various other natural gas based projects. Prior to joining CES, Graham gained experience in yield forecasting and statistical analytics with a commodity weather consulting company. Graham received a BS in Meteorology, with a focus on Energy Business Finance, from The Pennsylvania State University.

Gurusharan joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2022. He has extensive experience in the automotive industry in the areas of strategy, business planning, operations, sales and marketing. He is responsible for providing strategic consultancy and advisory services to automotive sector clients seeking e Mobility solutions, leading the consulting team for analysis of various technical and economic aspects of e Mobility, and leading IESA e Mobility initiatives MOVE and EV Adopter Circle.

Gurusharan has his MBA in Marketing & bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pune.

Dr. Gustav Beerel joined CES in 2013 as Vice President of Market Development.  His focus is on business and process development of scalable, comprehensive retail and wholesale energy service delivery platforms both in the US and internationally.

Gustav is the founder/President of Emission Information, Inc.  He was co-founder/CEO of EnvaPower, Inc, (known as Genscape Analytics).  He was a founding member of New Energy Ventures and Corporate S.V.P. of AES NewEnergy, (known as Constellation NewEnergy). He spent a decade in the chemical industry, has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering & Mathematical Optimization.

Guy joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2008. His primary area of focus is providing PJM regulatory coverage and consulting services to clients with an interest in generation asset management and trading.

Guy has over 20 years of energy experience, including 12 years experience in competitive electricity markets as proprietary trader, portfolio manager, and asset manager in PJM, MISO, and NYISO. He earned an MS degree in Business from the University of Baltimore and a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. Guy is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Harmanpreet joined CES in June 2020 as Quality Assurance Analyst. He has previous experience in functional testing, API testing and database verification for web and mobile applications. He is involved in QA testing activities in support of release of ETL, reporting and web applications.

Prior to CES, he has worked with service based and product based organizations as a Quality Test Engineer, performing manual and automation QA responsibilities in the event management, health care/health insurance, e-commerce and banking domains.

Harmanpreet holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Punjab Technical University, India.

Harry joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2012.  His focus is consulting services in the areas of market settlements and analysis for wholesale and retail load serving entities as well as generation projects.  Additionally, Harry assists with managing and scheduling generation assets in the various RTO/ISO markets and provides expertise for a variety of renewable energy and back office improvement projects.

Prior to joining Customized, Harry gained over 20 years of experience in the energy industry working at PJM Interconnection where he led the market settlement functions from the inception of today’s PJM wholesale markets.  Harry earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from Villanova University.

Harsh joined CES in November 2014. He has been involved in providing consulting and market research services to utilities, OEMs, regulation makers and other clients of Customized Energy Solutions and India Energy Storage Alliance on energy storage, renewable energy and other power sector related emerging markets in India. Harsh has over five years of experience in energy sector with a particular specialization in the areas of market research, process improvement and strategy consulting.

His research experience focuses area of Power Generation and T&D equipment, Power Sector Investments, Renewable Energy Development, Energy Storage Systems and Power Utilities Best Practices. He has also advised companies on the areas of Market Analysis and Forecasting, Organizational Development, Stakeholder Management.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration in General Management from Leeds University Business School, United Kingdom; a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India and Diploma in Management Consulting, certified by CMI, UK. He had a short stint as a Consulting Intern with a couple of small organizations in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Harveyetta joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2006. As Benefits Manager, her duties include managing the company’s employee benefits program. She also assists the Controller with a variety of financial matters.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, she worked at a global standards organization. Harveyetta graduated with honors from Strayer University earning an AA and BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management. Harveyetta has successfully completed Villanova’s MS program with an emphasis in Human Resource Development.

Hemant joined CES in September 2020 as Angular Developer. Hemant has experience in working with responsive webpages using bootstrap and media query, and taking advantage of the frameworks like Typescript and Angular. He understands model view controller MVC and MVVM design pattern.

Hemant holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Application from Pune University Maharashtra, India.

Hiroki joined CES Japan as manager for BLUEj Development on November 22, 2019. He has been working in the IT industry as a software engineer and program/project manager. He also was the manager/director in several technical support divisions over 34 years in foreign vendor in Japan. For the recent 20 years, he has been working in telecom industry for a large scale system accommodating 10M users.

Hung has worked in the IT industry as a database developer and database administrator since 2013. Before joining CES, he worked on credit card payment management projects at Aperia and education projects at Axon Active.

Hung graduated from Duy Tan University majoring in Management Information Systems.

Ian joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2021 as Director of Demand & Distributed Resources.

Before joining CES, Ian spent 10+ years in the energy industry, working in finance, risk management, and wholesale operations for a boutique energy services firm, as well as policy advocacy and C&I solar project development for a renewable energy company.  He has a wide breadth of operational experience on both the supply side and demand side in all seven of the U.S. based ISOs.  His focus at CES is on all things “Behind The Meter” and helping clients with DR and DER assets capture and maximize the various revenue streams available in ISO and utility programs.

Ian graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics, and enjoys hiking, swimming, and following Philly sports.

Ishita joined CES in August 2022 as Retail Billing Analyst. She has competence in data analytics, product management, data visualization, and product implementation, as well as previous experience working as a business analyst in the IT sector. She previously worked at igebra.ai, JSIMPLE, and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.

Ishita received her Bachelor of Technology from Maharani Girls Engineering College – India and studied business analytics at Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Jacob Walters joined Customized Energy Solutions as OCC Operator in November 2022. Prior to joining CES, Jacob was Control Room Operator II at Miller Bros Solar where he utilized DAS and SCADA platforms to monitor over 350 solar sites of various sizes for operations and maintenance purposes, dispatched and created work orders for technicians to resolve problems identified on site, audited trackers, inverters, and combiner boxes and analyzed performance trends in order to maximize site production, and more.

Jacob graduated from Penn State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s in energy engineering.

Janice joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2021 as Data Science Analyst. She is a part of CoMETS team and will help boost data science capabilities across products and services. Her area of expertise is advanced machine learning, data science, and deep learning. She has experience in predictive modelling, anomaly detection, image processing, natural language processing, and forecasting.

With a strong technical background and passion for data science and analytics, she desires to provide solutions to complex technical problems.

Janice has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering & a master’s degree in information technology from Goa University, India. She has 15 years of combined experience in industry and academia. She has been an Assistant Professor in institutes such as Indian Institute Of Technology-Goa and Goa Institute Management in the big data analytics department. She has worked in MNC’s such as Cybage Software Pvt. Ltd and Persistent Systems Ltd and is also skilled in web development.

Jin Xiao joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2011. He is responsible for developing software applications in retail services in the areas of EDI data exchange, billing, enrollment, pricing and forecasting.

Prior to joining CES, Jin has been working in utility industry for over 10 years, as a lead application architect and developer at Utility.com, AES NewEnergy, Constellation Energy Group, and SunEdison . He was the lead designer and developer of   various invoicing systems, tariff rate database/engine, and SunEdison’s industry-leading solar operations center platform. Jin is a certified Microsoft System Developer. He has B.S. Industrial/Systems Engineering from Chongqing University and M.S. in System Engineering from University of Arizona.

Jatin works as a senior analyst at Customized Energy Solutions. He joined CES in August 2020. He is involved in development of Python based mathematical models for operation of energy storage systems in electricity markets. Before joining CES, Jatin worked at Prayas (Energy Group), Pune, a premier think tank in India focusing on electricity regulation where he published multiple publications and was involved in regulatory filings.

His research areas include applied optimization and predictive modeling for solving decision making problems in electricity markets.  He also holds expertise in policies and regulations of electricity sector in India.

Jatin holds a Master of Management degree with specialization in Business Analytics from IISc Bangalore, India and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Javed Joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2011. He is responsible for Data Acquisition Services and Smart Grid initiatives focusing on Electricity Generation Asset Integration with ISO’s and SLDC’s , Solution architecture design for Smart Grid Projects, Algorithm Development and implementation for CES’s Wholesale operations and predictive modeling for ancillary service market functions. Javed also supports demand response programs and consulting projects performing high level of techno-commercial analysis and Reporting. Javed has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from University of Pune, India.

Jayanthi joined CES in August 2020 as a Senior QA.

Prior to this, Jayanthi worked as QA lead/senior and QA/release coordinator with hands on testing in manual and automated. Jayanthi worked in various windows, client-server, web based, mobile apps and has worked for Fortune 500 companies for several years with exposure to various domains like finance, telecommunication, entertainment, insurance, cable, and state court.

Jeannette Henderson joined Customized Energy Solutions in September 2020. Prior to working at CES, she worked for CubeSmart where she developed project estimates and timelines, managed IT staffing, resource plans and budget estimates, and HR matters. Jeannette has her MSIS from Penn State Great Valley and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Widener University.

Jeff has over twenty years of experience in the energy industry. He provides market intelligence and regulatory advisory services to wholesale energy clients active in the ISO New England markets as well as assists clients with market intelligence and analysis on emerging technologies such as energy storage. He has testified before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and State regulatory agencies on issues including asset divestitures, financial assurance and power market design.

Before joining Customized Energy Solutions in 2015, Jeff was a Senior Associate with the Alliance Risk Group providing risk advisory and regulatory compliance consulting services to a wide range of electricity clients in the US Northeast. Prior to joining Alliance, he was at ISO New England for eight years where he served as Manager, Market & Credit Risk before joining Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company as Director of Commodities and Treasurer.  He began his career at Levitan & Associates where he focused on conducting generator asset valuations in support of electric utility divestitures.

Jeff holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College.

Jennifer joined Customized in April 2007. As an Analyst, Jennifer is responsible for registering clients, enabling them to do business with FERC, the state, and in the active wholesale markets. Jennifer is also involved with the Wholesale Services group working with generation portfolios, bill reconciliations and settlements. She is also responsible for managing assets in Generator Attribute Tracking System (GATS) and a variety of PJM eSuite applications, and filing FERC quarterly reports.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Jennifer worked for over five years as an analyst for PJM Interconnection. She earned a BS in Communication from Clarion University.

Jennifer joined Customized Energy Solutions in January 2018. In Jennifer’s current role, she works with the Renewable Energy Services Team on initiatives related to compliance and new market entry. Her primary responsibility is to support retail suppliers in maintaining federal, state, and utility regulations.

In her time with CES, she has also contributed to the Natural Gas and Retail Market Services Consulting teams by supporting gas scheduling, billing, EDI, and client management activities.

Prior to joining CES, Jennifer facilitated power and natural gas procurement transactions across various North American markets at several leading retail energy brokerages. Jennifer received a BS in Business Administration with a focus on economics from Drexel University.

Jewel joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2023 as an Office/Recruiting Assistant. Her responsibilities include supporting the recruiting team, scheduling interviews and balancing calendars for interviewers and candidates, helping with resume review and initial screening, and other administrative duties.

Prior to joining CES, Jewel had 15 years in administrative and compliance experience. She worked alongside the Executive Teams and provided support to General Counsel Teams specialized in administrative compliance, ensuring that all corporate and nonprofit organization’s processes and procedures comply with the legal regulation and ethical standards.

Jian joined Customized Energy Solutions as a systems operator in May 2021.

Prior to joining CES, Jian was a photovoltaic system operator at Miller Bros Solar.

Jian received a Bachelor of Science in Energy Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Jianfeng joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2013. He is a member of the Congestion Management team and is primarily responsible for modeling, powerflow analysis, and optimization. He also provides consulting services for clients who request various engineering studies.

Previously he worked at MISO, where he served as Senior Market Design Engineer. He worked in MISO for over 10 years, and has a broad knowledge of the electricity market, forward and real-time operations, and transmission planning.

Jianfeng earned his MS and PHD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Jiaying joined Customized Energy Solutions as an intern at New York office in Feb 2014. In November 2015, she joined Congestion Management team as a full-time analyst. She is supporting a broad range of clients through the various Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) and Auction Revenue Rights (ARR) processes in the CAISO and SPP markets.

Jiaying graduated from Binghamton University with an MA in Finance and Economics and a BA in Economics.

Jim joined Customized Energy Solutions in January 2009. He is responsible for providing expertise and customer support in the areas of energy storage, distributed resources, renewable technologies, project management and all energy market-related issues.

Prior to joining Customized, Jim worked for New York State Electric & Gas Corporation for 32 years, gaining experience in power plant and energy end-use technologies.

Jim joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2008 as Director of SPP Regulatory Affairs. While Jim is still active in the SPP stakeholder process, Jim now focuses on developing, performing, and managing consulting services for the SPP and ERCOT regions. He seeks to leverage his 14+ years of energy industry consulting experience in which he has provided services to ISO/RTOs, load serving entities, investment banks, IPPs, resource developers, investors, and software vendors.

Prior to working in the energy industry, Jim served in the U.S. Army as an Armor Officer. Jim holds a BBA degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jim is currently the EDI Analyst for the Retail Operations team. He started at Customized Energy Solutions January 2017. Some of Jim’s responsibilities include the EDI trading partner setup, testing, and production tracking of EDI documents.

Prior to CES, Jim worked with a USA software vendor for  9 years as an EDI support analyst for one of their products. He has worked with manufacturers, and distributors in all business markets

Jimy joined Customized Energy Solutions as a UI Architect in May 2022.

Jimy is responsible for designing, building, and supporting scalable UI applications along with implementing crucial technical decisions in coding web applications, maintaining aesthetics and ensuring that our web applications are user-friendly while maintaining quality.

Jimy was a Senior Software Engineer at Cybage Software before he joined CES and has experience working on multiple front-end applications using various java script frameworks. He has played a critical role in leading the innovation and growth of the front-end team.

Jimy holds a master’s degree in computer application and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Pune.

Jin joined Customized Energy Solutions in December 2021.

He worked as technical support engineer for telecom systems and messaging systems at various companies for 10 years.

His role at CES is technical support engineer where he supports BLUEj and CES AI-OCR products in Japan.

John joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2012, working in the Demand Response Business Line. This work includes advising and registering customers in DR, testing customers for compliance, and planning for participation in the Demand Response program. He also supports managing customers Capacity and Transmission peak shaving along with Load Forecasting. John also assists in the analysis, scheduling and transportation of Natural Gas.

Before joining Customized, John spent the last 5 years working for the curtailment service provider North America Power Partners, where he worked in Demand Response covering the areas of PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE and the utilities Southern California Edison and Pacific Gas & Electric.

Jonathan joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2014. His primary area of focus is providing PJM regulatory coverage and consulting services to clients.

He comes to CES from PJM Interconnection, where he focused on long-term industry strategy and the impact of new technologies and/or market events on electricity markets and grid reliability. He is experienced in PJM’s stakeholder process as well as their governing documents and manuals and has expertise in energy markets, capacity markets, derivatives, natural gas, gas/electric industry coordination, generation, power plant economics, valuation, forecasting, advanced energy storage, renewable energy, and market analysis. Jonathan previously worked as a Market Analyst and Financial Advisor.

Jonathan earned MBA and Master of Accounting degrees from the College of William & Mary and a BS in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Jonghyun joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2014. He is responsible for developing ETL processes, internal and customer facing interactive reports and other technology initiatives. Jonghyun has a background in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Application Development.  Jonghyun has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ajou University, South Korea and a Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, Texas.

José joined CES in March 2020 as Director of Market Intelligence for the New England wholesale power market, assisting clients in understanding and analyzing ISO New England’s rules for its energy, capacity, and ancillary services markets as well as for project interconnections, system planning, and other RTO/ISO matters.  With 30 years of experience in the energy industry as a consultant, transmission developer, utility executive, and state regulator, José has participated in RTOs/ISOs since their formation and has represented clients in NEPOOL for 20 years.  Since 2010, he has served as the member-elected Vice Chair of the NEPOOL Transmission Committee.

Prior to joining CES, José was a consultant in the New England and New York power markets providing regular monthly and quarterly analyses on energy and capacity market issues as well as transmission policies.  Prior to that role, José led regulatory policy matters for a developer of market-based transmission projects, was a principal analyst for a major New England utility focusing on rates, restructuring, and FERC issues, and an economist with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.  He holds a BA in Economics from Brown University and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Joshua joined CES in June of 2022 as a Renewable Energy Analyst, where he works on the Renewables team. Prior to joining CES, Joshua interned at an energy financing firm in Allentown, PA. Joshua graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Energy Business & Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Before joining CES, Justin worked for a company that was a distributor of Jenbacher engines in the Operations department. The company provide fully integrated Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and Distributed Generation (DG) power solutions to a variety of customers (institutional, commercial, industrial and governmental accounts). Justin’s core responsibilities were data warehousing, system integration, and product support. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, earning a BS in Energy Business and Finance.

Kanchan Waykar joined Customized Energy Solutions as a Database Developer in August 2020. She worked in the software service industry for the last 6 years.

She is involved in software development cycle such as interacting with CAM’s to get requirements, work on code, and deliver the reports as part of projects.

She worked on Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, SQL server Integration services. Previously, she worked with FigMD India Pvt Ltd as software developer.

She completed Master of computer application from Pune University, India.

Karen has joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2022, as Desktop Support Engineer for the Infrastructure Services Team. She brings over 10 years of Information Technology experience in the Healthcare Industry to her current role.

She holds multiple Associates Degrees from Delaware County Community College, including Information Technology – Web Development.

Kasturi joined Customized Energy Solutions (CES) in May 2015 as Analyst, Financial Services. She has been involved in financial modeling, analysis and consulting for various projects in India and USA. Her work focuses on  comprehensive analysis of energy storage market providing  investment analysis and pricing forecasts based on respective market regulations.

Prior to CES, she worked with Reliance Energy Ltd., in concern with electricity distribution business of Mumbai as Assistant Manager for engineering and procurement services. Her experience includes network expansion planning, equipment specification designing, vendor management as well as technical evaluation of bids.

Kasturi holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai, India; Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering Pune, India.

Kate joined Customized Energy Solutions in February, 2016, as an analyst on the Retail Services team.  She provides support to the group in billing, EDI, and client management. 

Prior to joining CES, Kate worked as a Sales Operations Analyst at a tech driven energy company headquartered in Washington, DC.  Here she helped build out the operational processes for a newly launched retail energy brokerage line.  She has a diverse background in client relations, business operations, and project & account management.

Kavita Tendulkar joined CES on October 25, 2022, as Retail Transaction Management Analyst.

She is an Economics graduate from Mumbai University and certified in SAP ABAP and C++.

She has a wide experience of 8 years in Finance and Banking. She worked for various industries. Some companies she worked for include Credit Suisse India Pvt Ltd and Syntel Sourcing Pvt Ltd. Kavita mainly worked in portfolio management and trade reconciliation for the fixed income securities. She also worked for legal and compliance where she focused on reconciliation of books of accounts, managing the accounts and calculation of net asset value, MIS preparation for the operation manager, and managing the client data.

Kent joined CES in 2007. He leads the Congestion Management team’s western region, assisting clients with ARR/FTR/TCR/CRR optimization and powerflow modeling projects in MISO, SPP, CAISO and ERCOT. He also supports other CES business areas with IT systems guidance and analysis. Kent came to CES from Midwest ISO, where he was Technical Lead of Market Settlements Applications through the launch of the energy market in 2005. Prior to that, Kent worked as a software architect and engineer in various energy software companies and the Wisconsin state energy office.

Kent holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California—Berkeley and an M.S. in Energy Analysis and Policy from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Indiana and a GARP-certified Energy Risk Professional.

Kevin joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2016 bringing with him 15 years of experience in wholesale electricity markets.  Previously, Kevin operated ERCOT’s Congestion Revenue Rights Market and also worked as an account manager where he facilitated the commissioning of several resources.  Prior to ERCOT, Kevin spent 12 years in wholesale power at the Lower Colorado River Authority in Austin, Texas.  There he focused on asset optimization and congestion management for a diverse generation and load portfolio.

Kevin joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2017. As part of the Retail Services team, his primary responsibility is to manage the operations team with a focus on automation, scalability and reporting.  Prior to joining CES, Kevin gained 7 years of experience in residential billing, wholesale power markets, analytics, and reporting while working for EnergyPlus and NRG.  Kevin graduated from University of Richmond with a BA in Biology.

Kevin joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2009. He is responsible for the operations of the real-time data acquisition systems at Customized, and the development of new control system technologies.

Kevin has over 25 years of experience in the electric energy and aerospace industries. Before joining Customized, Kevin was a Senior Engineer and Project Manager at the PJM Interconnection for 11 years. At PJM, Kevin was responsible for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems that enabled smaller customers to directly connect to the ISO.

Khai worked in the IT industry as a software engineer since 2012. He mainly focused on backend and has experience in CRM system, such as Salesforce.

Prior to joining CES, Khai worked with several companies such as Simpson Strong-tie and Lotte Data Communication in various industries including credit card payment, construction and medical.

Khiry joined Customized Energy Solutions in February 2023 as a Generation Operator on the OCC Desk. Before joining the CES Team, Khiry was a Command-and-Control Operator in the U.S. Air Force.

Khiry has a background in operating mass notification systems as well as monitoring actions to preserve life, minimize damage and restore military operations. Khiry gained operations experience as a Senior Command Post Controller at Joint Base Andrews, MD.

Khoa joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2021 as a Data Analyst on the CES Retail Team. He is primarily focused on Billing Report and Operation Support.

Prior to joining CES, Khoa worked in the shipping industry as a Business Analyst handling dashboard report. He earned an MBA in Finance and Business Analytics from the University of Delaware.

Kim joined Customized Energy Solutions in May 2021 as an analyst on the Retail Services team.  She provides billing support for the Retail team, focusing on PJM.

Prior to joining CES, Kim worked as an Energy Marketing and Trading Analyst for PPL and Talen Energy.  At CES, she manages the complex billing, enrollments, and customer support.  Kim earned her BS in Business from King’s College and MBA from Desales University.

Kirth joined Customized Energy Solutions in August 2008. He focuses on supporting Data Acquisition Services while assisting with SCADA, RTU configuration, communications, and field automa­tion devices. He provides engineering support for integration of production, measurement, automation, and compression of plant control data into SCADA/HMI; in addition to supporting the efforts of technological advances and technical standards in data acquisition.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Kirth worked for Samsung Corporation as an electrical supervisor. He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering in India and an MBA from University of Massachusetts.

Kristy Ashley serves as Director, Market Intelligence – ERCOT, for Customized Energy Solutions. In her role, she provides reporting and analysis to CES clients by leveraging her twenty years of experience on both the commercial and regulatory side of the electric markets.

Prior to joining CES, Ms. Ashley was Director, Market Development – South and West, for Exelon Corporation, one of the nation’s largest competitive power generators, where she was responsible for wholesale market policies in ERCOT, Southwest Power Pool and other energy markets in which Exelon operates, and she developed the company’s position on policy matters at the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC). Ms. Ashley was actively involved in the design of the Texas nodal market. She has held leadership positions in the Texas Competitive Power Association and has served on ERCOT’s Technical Advisory Committee, Wholesale Market Subcommittee and other market stakeholder working groups. She also served as the alternate representative in the Independent Generator Segment on the ERCOT Board of Directors. Ms. Ashley worked for the Exelon Power Team as a trader and asset manager. Prior to joining Exelon, she worked for Mirant Corporation on their ERCOT asset management desk. With nearly 20 years of energy industry experience.

Ms. Ashley currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Power Association and chairs the GCPA emPOWERing Women Committee. During her time working with the emPOWERing committee, she developed and led their first two annual emPOWERing Women Leadership Conferences.

Kurt Volmer joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2022.  He is responsible for the architecture of various platforms, with current focus being on the Retail application platforms.

Prior to joining CES, Kurt worked in the energy industry as a consultant for over 2 decades.  He worked on and architected numerous solutions for many different clients and areas in the retail energy space.  Kurt has performed as the lead architect, senior developer, and even PM when needed on these various efforts, where the focus was most often on custom built solutions for each specific client’s needs.   He has a bachelor’s degree in MIS from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has also obtained several Microsoft certifications throughout the years.

Larry joined Customized Energy Solutions in November 2012 as a Systems Operator. Larry supports the day-to-day activity in the Day-Ahead and Real-time energy markets. He is responsible for submitting Day-Ahead bids and offers, Day-Ahead and Real-time Demand Response, Emergency Load Response and energy market settlements.

Prior to joining Customized, Larry worked 14 years for Exelon Corporation in their Wholesale Marketing Group. He held several positions during his tenure there- Financial Accountant, Operational Accountant, Generation Dispatcher and for the last 4 years, Real Time Trader. Prior to Exelon, Larry worked at J.P. Morgan and Deloitte & Touche. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.

Laura joined CES in August 2021 as a Senior Consultant with the Retail Energy Services team. In this role, Laura will leverage her wealth of experience in the retail energy industry to engage with clients to optimize ongoing operations and identify new solutions to the evolving challenges and opportunities of the space.

Laura has experience managing the retail energy customer life cycle from contracting, billing, and collections. She started in retail electricity at Reliant just after the ERCOT market opened in 2002, and has since supported operations at Gexa, APG&E, LifeEnergy, and Iberdrola Solutions. Her background includes requirements gathering and user acceptance testing with Enron, Altra, and Enbase software, supporting various aspects of the energy industry and associate customer service needs.

Leilani joined Customized Energy Solutions in July 2011.  As part of the Retail Services team, her responsibilities include assisting clients with new market entry, enrollments, billing, forecasting and pricing.

Leilani worked previously for Constellation NewEnergy where she gained over 10 years of experience in retail energy operations and IT support for various regions throughout the company.  She has a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Linh Nguyen has more than 8 years of experience in testing, especially in web application. Before joining CES, Linh was a senior QC at Orange Logic, a product company of the digital asset management industry.

Linh earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and graduated from FPT University in 2012.

Mahavir joined Customized Energy Solutions in January 2023 as EA to CXO with a focus on supporting the leadership team in India.

Mahavir brings more than 15 years of experience in various business functions in legal, finance, strategy, process improvement, operations, and customer management, He has extensive experience in project coordination, project planning and implementation, and supplier development.

Prior to joining Customized Energy Solutions, Mahavir has worked with large, multinational organizations in the automotive domain, like TATA AutoComp, TATA Motors, Schaeffler India, UNO Minda Group, among others.

Mahavir holds his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Amravati University and Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Services from Pune University.

Mandar joined CES in April 2023 with a mandate to scale up the ETN platform as Editor of the publication.

He has spent over 16 years in journalism and content, working for newspapers (Hindustan Times, DNA Money), magazines (The Finapolis), online platforms (LinkedIn) and corporates (CRISIL, Qualys) across Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad. He also teaches the subject of editing at journalism institutes around Pune.

Manoj joined Customized Energy Solutions in June 2022. He comes with over 3.5 years of experience in the IT industry as Salesforce Admin/Developer and over 6 years of experience in customer experience and client relations management. His areas of expertise include SFDC configuration, customization, requirement gathering, and more.

He has worked on SFDC development using apex classes, VF pages, triggers, batch classes, and more. He has experience working with automation tools like Process Builder, Flows, and Approval Process and experience in data modelling and security settings of Salesforce.

He is Salesforce Platform Developer I certified. He holds his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) from Cochin University of Science & Technology – Kerala, India, Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Anna University – Tamil Nadu, India & Diploma in Management from Edith Cowan University – Perth, Australia.

He was working with Cognizant Technology Solutions, Bangalore as Associate – Project (EAS – SALESFORCE) prior to joining CES.

Manprit Singh is from Indore, M.P and works as a Software Developer at CES. He completed his mechanical engineering studies from Ujjain Engineering College in 2020. During his bachelor’s degree, he decided to switch his interest towards programming and started working on his skills and solving problems.

While working at SearchBlox software, he became familiar with some data science concepts. He was responsible for creating automation scripts on python for data extraction, transformation, and loading. He got the opportunity to work on some ML models and prepare the data to work with the models for NLP based requirements. He has been working on data analysis and visualization also, as a requirement for some projects.

Marc joined CES in September 2021 and works with the retail team providing support to the group in operations, process optimization, and data analysis.

Marc has diverse experience in the energy industry including commercial operations, non-commodity, structuring, and product development. Prior to joining CES, Marc developed and led various sales and back-office operations teams. He earned a BGS from Texas State University, with a focus in Economics and Business Management.

Maria joined Customized Energy Solutions in April 2018 as an IT intern and is currently QA Analyst as of July 2020.

Maria graduated Temple University in May 2020 with a BBA in Finance.

Maria Laurenti joined Customized Energy Solutions as Marketing Intern in September 2019 and is currently Marketing Analyst as of January 2020.

Prior to joining CES, Maria was Office Manager at Blissed Out Mamas. Maria was also Children’s School Coordinator at Koresh Dance Company where she managed the teachers, students, and interns.

Maria is a graduate of Mercer County Community College with an A.F.A. in Dance and is currently a student at Rider University working toward her BSBA in Marketing and Business Analytics.

As Director of Business Development, Mark is responsible for presenting and structuring comprehensive value-added consulting and market operations services for the rapidly evolving electricity market.  Amongst this responsibility, his primary function is to create and implement new growth and sales strategies aimed to optimize revenue for grid-scale energy storage projects. He has over 20 years of extensive sales and portfolio management experience in the deregulated energy markets nationwide.

Mark earned a B.S. from Seton Hall University and MBA from the Rutgers School of Business at Rutgers University. His service in the U.S. Army’s Officer Corps augments his professional and educational experience.

Mary Daly joined CES in June 2021 as a Senior Business Analyst in Retail Services.  Prior to CES, Mary spent over 30 years in IT as a Developer, QA Tester, and EDI Specialist.  Her industry background includes Fortune 100 manufacturing, distribution and pharmaceutical companies.

As the Director of Product Development for FutureGrid Services at CES, Matt Lollini leads the innovation and development of GridBOOST, a software solution tool that optimizes and schedules grid-scale energy storage and renewable assets. He collaborates with CES Energy Traders and Market Experts to incorporate their insights into the GridBOOST platform and leverage the opportunities of market programs and rule changes. Matt also oversees the PowerGREEN application, which helps large industrial customers optimize their energy consumption and participate in grid programs at the state and ISO levels. He recently launched PowerGREEN Lite, a solution that connects small commercial to large industrial customers to the Capacity Programs in Japan and provides them with real-time meter visibility and baselines for accurate dispatch and participation.

Prior to joining CES Matt worked for 5 years at Powerit Solutions as a Mechanical Engineer helping large industrials automate reductions in their energy usage and participate in Emergency Demand Response programs.

Matthew joined CES in April of 2019 and currently works as a software developer,  responsible for developing, code reviewing, and deployments.

Before joining CES he worked in IEP and Education Software for several years. He has experience with Agile and Full Stack Development. Matthew graduated from Radford University in 2015 with a BS in Computer Science and a BA in History.

Matthew Meade joined Customized Energy Solutions as System Operator in July 2021. Prior to CES, Matthew was a Photovoltaic Energy Systems Operator for Miller Bros Solar. Matthew has a background in the power plant industry, having worked at Wheelabrator in Westville, NJ and Logan Generation in Logan Township, NJ.

Mayuri joined Customized Energy Solutions India as a Finance Intern in Feb 2021 and transitioned into the role of Asst. Manager – Finance & Admin in August 2021. She is responsible for managing accounting records, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. Before joining CES, Mayuri worked three years as an Article Assistant at VPB Associates, Pune.

Mayuri holds a master’s degree in commerce (M.com) and is pursuing a chartered accountant course at the final level (CA Final).

Mike joined Customized Energy Solutions in October 2021 as a Client Operations Analyst on the Retail Services team. He provides support to the group in billing, EDI, and client management.

Prior to joining CES, Mike worked as a Senior Analyst for a pharmaceutical drug wholesaler operating across the globe. Here he helped manage the pharmaceutical portfolios of some of the world’s leading healthcare providers. He has a diverse background in client relations, project management, and data analytics.

Mike joined Customized Energy Solutions in July of 2018 as a System Operator. Mike supports the day-to-day activity in the Day-Ahead and Real-time energy markets. He is responsible for submitting Day-Ahead bids and offers, Day-Ahead and Real-time Demand Response, Emergency Load Response and energy market settlements.  Prior to re-joining Customized Energy Solutions, Mike worked on the Real time desk at Talen Energy.

Michael started working for CES in the spring of 2015 as an intern while attending Drexel University. After completing the internship, Michael was hired part time. In June of 2017, Michael came on board full time after finishing school and earning a degree in computer engineering. I now work as a consultant for Data Acquisition Services.

Michaela joined CES in February 2022 as a Senior Consultant and focuses on MISO and emerging market developments.  Prior to joining CES, she was a market design advisor at MISO where she led price formation enhancements in MISO’s energy and operating reserve market and aided in the design of the Short-Term Reserve product and the Electric Storage Resource participation model.  Michaela has also held roles as a resource manager at MidAmerican Energy Company, a market monitoring analyst at the California ISO and a regulatory analyst at the California Public Utilities Commission. In these roles, Michaela focused on distributed energy resource policies, resource adequacy, market power mitigation, and real-time operations.

Michaela earned a BS in Environmental and Resource Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno and a MS in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Davis where she focused on applied economics and statistics.
